The Board of Parents generally meets once a month on the first Wednesday starting at 8:00PM at Castro Commons, Bldg 1 Conference Room, 1174 Castro Street, Mountain View, CA. We also host the Area 2A meeting there on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:30 PM as well. Thanks to Dr. Vivien D'Andrea of Camino Medical Group for providing this space for the meetings.

The meeting at the beginning of June is the annual meeting where officers are changed over (elections are held at the meeting in May). The June meeting is generally a dinner meeting to thank the outgoing members and welcome the incoming parents. The board generally does not meet in December as the Volunteer Appreciation Party is at roughly the same time.

Operations

Any AYSO region is run by a board of parents and volunteers who then elect their regional commissioner and other key officers. The regional commissioner is an officer in the national AYSO organization and elects the officials from the local Area Director on up to the President and National Board; along with approving any rule changes in the organization. The National board must also approve the elected regional commissioner. It all starts here locally and is mostly focused on local operations. All the other positions are there to support the local regions. There is more information in our "About Us" page entitled the ABC's of AYSO

All board meetings, activities, and finances are open to the public as much as possible. Only privacy concerns for volunteer and child welfare override this. If you do not find what you are looking for on this website, inquire with the regional commissioner.
